It was Coco Chanel who introduced the concept of women looking sleek and style focused in men's clothes. Once again for this season her legend lives on. Ladies will be looking chic in masculine suiting, tweed, white shirts. brogues and trilby hat, the very occasional tie, loose jackets and long coats.
You can wear the trend less obviously by popping a long suite jacket over jeans and frilled shirt brooched at the neck. Finish off with a red lip and trilby hat - wear both with attitude and confidence for the full effect. Try wearing tweed with metallics - shoes, nails, eyes and tote bag.
I do suggest that the satchel remains the bag of choice for those under 20!

Welcome to the trends of Autumn 2011
What's new? What's in? What are the new must haves?
Trend 1: Foxy Lady!
Think leather, tightly laced corsets, stockings, pointy ankle boots, black wet look PVC macs! Very naughty on the face of it but you can work it by selecting items at the least extreme end of the trend without looking like you have succumbed to a life of bondage - unless of course you want to but thats a whole other story for someone else's blog!
Lets imagine that you have a black trouser suit. If you add patent ankle books, wet look trench coat, gold chunky necklace and studded gloves you have nailed the trend.Your whole outfit will look current and fresh. Want a little less black? Why no try the snakeskin look for your bag or boots?
